The William Woods men's golf team made school history in earning the No. 1 seed in the NAIA Preseason Top 25 poll, released on Friday.
The Owls - ranked third in last season's final standings - earned 16-first place votes and 527 points in ascending to claim the top spot. William Woods is also the No. 1 team in the Golfstat Rankings and the Golf Coaches Association of America Top 25 poll.
The William Woods women are ranked third in the preseason poll, totaling four first-place votes and 433 points in all. The Lady Owls trail Northwood (Florida) University and defending national champion SCAD Savannah in the polls.
The William Woods women - like their male counterparts - are the top team in their Golfstat Rankings.
