American Red Cross Heart of Missouri Chapter volunteers are continuing to check in on a Mokane resident who lost their home in a fire Saturday. The Red Cross reached out to the resident that evening and met with them Sunday.
Volunteers gave the resident financial assistance for any immediate needs and to purchase food and clothing. They also gave the individual a Red Cross comfort kit. The kit included personal hygiene items.
The Mokane resident is staying with family. The Red Cross will keep monitoring their recovery process.
