A purple potty is making its way around Fulton in order to raise money for Relay for Life.

Alyssa Hauck, 15, of Fulton searched the social media site Pinterest for fundraising ideas and came across the "purple potty project."

When a purple-painted toilet lands on a person's lawn, the homeowner has three options:

•Pay $10 for removal of the purple potty,

•Pay $20 for removal and transfer to a home of choice,

•Pay $30 for all the above and the guarantee the purple potty won't come back.

"I thought it could be really fun," Hauck said. "I could see people really enjoying it."

In attempt for the toilets to be less of an eyesore, team has decorated toilets with rhinestones and tucked bright fake flowers inside the toilet bowls.

"Some people think it's so cute and some people are like, "Get it off my lawn right now,'" Hauck said with a laugh.

Hauck said the Tumor-nators kicked off the project three weeks ago and have raised $500. Four potties are currently being transported around town, and Hauck anticipates completing the fundraiser the week before the June 7 Relay for Life event. It will take place at the Missouri School for the Deaf track.
