Billy Joe's Auction Service in Fulton is hosting a consignment auction fundraiser May 17 for the Callaway Youth Expo.
The event starts at 10 a.m. at 5028 Pendergras Road and features items including two camping trailers, a golf cart, gun cabinet, furniture, industrial shelving, choke cables, tools and an international truck with mixer bed.
"A lot of people are starting to consign - it's going to be a pretty good day," owner Billy Crocker said. "We've got a bunch of tools, miscellaneous farm equipment - we've got a couple tractors - fence posts, tack, household items, antiques and collectibles. It's a variety of everything."
All of the proceeds from the auction will go to the youth expo.
Crocker said the web page for the auction - which can be found at www.auctionzip.com/MO-Auctioneers/168609.html - has had 5,462 views already.
Tommy Lee with the youth expo said event organizers appreciate all the community support.
"We've had a wonderful response - it seems like everyone jumped on again," Lee said. "We've had a tremendous amount of consignment items."
Crocker said he offered to put on the auction because "it's for the kids."
"They're trying to start all over and rebuild, and they need support," he said. "The more you come out and bid, the more we raise for 4-H and the youth fair."
Items are still being accepted for the auction: according to a promotional poster, "anything clean and usable you want to sell ... farm equipment, cars, trucks, household items, antiques, collectibles, guns, small animals."
There is a $35 fee for large items and a flat rate of 15 percent for small items and 10 percent for guns.
