Julie Boyd Uhls named 2015 Kingdom Supper president

Kingdom of Callaway Supper Committee member Jerry Austin said the president selection committee was looking for someone who is well-known throughout the county for their work and community service as the leader of next year's supper.

According to Austin, the committee could not have found a better 2015 Kingdom Supper president than Julie Boyd Uhls of Fulton.

"Julie ... seemed to be a perfect choice," Austin said. "She's young and enthusiastic, a hard-working individual and she's involved in community affairs. We thought she'd be a good person to put in there this year."

Uhls said she was "really humbled to be asked" to serve as supper president next year.

A native of Fulton, Uhls is a fourth-generation owner of Boyd & Boyd, Inc., where she writes title insurance.

Uhls also serves on the boards for the Fulton Area Development Corporation and the Missouri Land Title Association and is the treasurer for Court Street United Methodist Church. She is active with the Relay for Life of Callaway County, serving on the committee and as a team captain. Uhls is active through her children's activities as well - she is a local Daisy troop leader, she is active with the Fulton Wrestling Club and is the treasurer of her son's baseball team.

"I love being a part of Callaway County and I really enjoy being involved in the community," Uhls said of her long list of commitments.
