The Fulton Area Chamber of Commerce and Visitor’s Center is starting a new program for small business owners this month.
On June 19 from noon-1 p.m. the chamber will begin its “Small Business Owners Lunch & Learn,” where small business owners can learn ways to better their businesses over lunch.
The event will be held at the Fulton Area Chamber of Commerce and Visitor’s Center.
“June is the kickoff to ‘Lunch & Learn.’ We’re trying to be more of an educational vehicle and reach out to small business owners to optimize their businesses,” Claudia Starr, president of the Fulton Area Chamber of Commerce and Visitor’s Center said.
Bob Boles, a volunteer with small business-centered organization SCORE, will speak at the event and be available for questions. Boles is not only a small business counselor, but a small business owner himself.
Starr said she hopes more business owners who are also chamber members will give seminars at future “Lunch & Learn” events. She added she would particularly like to see seminars on insurance, mortgages and personal finance.
Those interested can register at fultonmochamber.com or (573) 642-3055 until June 18.
Attendees can bring lunch or pay $6 at the “Lunch & Learn” for a meal.
