Sheriff's looking for suspect in Kingdom City Post Office robbery

The Callaway County Sheriff's Office is looking for a man suspected of robbing the Kingdom City Post Office on Saturday morning.

CCSO Sergeant Jeff Harding stated that at approximately 9:45 a.m. on Saturday, a man stole an undisclosed amount of money from the Kingdom City Post Office on Old Highway 40.

The alleged suspect is described as a white male, approximately 30 years old or younger between 5-foot-10 and 6 feet tall. The suspect was of thin build, had short, sandy blond hair, short stubbly facial hair and was wearing blue jeans with a gray hooded sweatshirt.

The postal clerk also observed the suspect sporting wraparound sunglasses - possibly with white frames - a beanie-style black motorcycle helmet and a black and dark-blue backpack.

The suspect was seen fleeing the scene on a shiny black motorcycle, no smaller than 250 cc's and no bigger than 500 that looked similar in make to a Honda Rebel.

The suspect drove down Old Highway 40 under the railroad bridge in front of Vans Garage and Towing.

"We believe he left going northbound and every agency in the area has been notified," Harding said.

Harding added that he'd like to talk to the driver of a bluish-gray Chevrolet Silverado seen following the suspects motorcycle down Old Highway 40 following the events at the post office. The driver of that car is not seen as a suspect, but is looking for any further information that they can provide.

Tom Kerns, of the U.S. Postal Inspection Service, said that any information leading to the arrest and conviction of the perpetrator will come with a reward.
