Fire forces Fulton family out of home

A fire displaced a six-member family - four adults, a teenager and child - out of their home on County Road 305 Monday.

Kath Mayne, a Red Cross disaster program manager, said the fire "destroyed" the home and many of the family's belongings. According to a Red Cross press release, volunteers helped provide food, clothing and shelter to the family.

The Red Cross also supplied the family with comfort kits filled with personal hygiene items. The agency is continuing to monitor the family's recovery process, the press release stated.

Mayne said the Red Cross will also refer the family to SERVE, Inc. and the Clothes Cupboard for additional resources.
