Eagles fall at Community R-6 in season opener

LADDONIA - The Missouri School for the Deaf Eagles shot a woeful 33 percent overall and committed 21 turnovers in dropping their season opener to the Community R-6 Trojans' junior varsity 58-26 on Monday night.

MSD junior point guard Joseph Allen got into early foul trouble and saw limited playing time in the second half, before fouling out with six points. Sophomore guard Ste'Quan Scott pulled down a team-high seven rebounds.

Bobby Jett broke out for a game-high 24 points - including five 3-pointers to guide Community.

The Eagles played their home opener against Higbee on Tuesday night. Results were not available at press time.
