Wind tore a large spruce tree out of the ground at 10th Street and West Avenue in Fulton, blocking 10th and causing Fulton fire and police officials to divert traffic while crews removed the debris. The tree was clear by around 5 p.m. The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration reports weather spotters recorded 63 mph winds in Ashland and that a tree limb 10 inches in diameter was blown down in New Bloomfield.
