Washington homer puts Fulton past Boonville

Comeback victories are becoming the norm for the Fulton softball team. Senior shortstop Madison Washington belted a 3-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to vault the Lady Hornets over the Boonville Lady Pirates in North Central Missouri Conference play on Monday night.

Fulton (5-2, 5-1 NCMC) rallied from two runs down in the seventh inning to win for a fourth game in a row and a third straight-time when trailing in late innings. Junior second baseman Dacrie Depping led the seventh off with a single and junior center fielder Haylee Ebersole drew a walk to set up Washington's round-tripper, the Lady Hornets' first home run as a team all season.
