The Fulton Lady Hornets team team swept through doubles action and took three-of-six singles matches to best Palmyra 6-3 on Thursday night at the high school athletic complex.
It was an ideal return to form for Fulton following Monday's 9-3 North Central Missouri Conference home loss to Kirksville, according to Lady Hornets head coach Louis Schnoebelen.
"The last two days we concentrated on being better prepared," Schnoebelen said. "I knew it would be a tough match against Palmyra, but the girls were up for it because we lost to them pretty badly last year. We worked on lobs because Palmyra likes to lob a lot."
