A groundbreaking ceremony Wednesday celebrated a $3.73 million expansion of Danuser Machine Company, Inc. in Fulton.

Glenn Danuser, director of sales for the manufacturing firm, said three generations of the Danuser family shoveled dirt during the groundbreaking. In addition to Glenn Danuser, other Danuser family members participating were his father Jerry, his sister Janea, and his son Corbin.

Glenn Danuser said the 32,400-square-foot expansion of the plant at 500 E. Third St. will provide 10 to 15 new jobs during the next two years.

"We also have some other new products on the drawing board," he said.

Danuser said the new building would be mainly a manufacturing facility.

"The warehouse across town will move to the existing manufacturing facility and some of the manufacturing work will be transferred to the new building," Danuser said.

He said the current expansion, which is expected to be completed by next March, is the first phase of even more expansions planned later as the firm's sales grow throughout the world.
