Fulton police seek suspect in overnight shooting

Fulton police are looking for the person who shot Tyshawn Long, 34, of Fulton early Saturday morning.

According to a press release from the police department, officers responded to call at 2:46 a.m. Saturday about shots fired in the 300 block of West Ninth Street. On arrival, officers found 14 empty shell casings and one live round in the street at that location — about three blocks east of Westminster Avenue.

Shortly thereafter, officers were dispatched to Callaway Community Hospital for a report of a subject with a gunshot wound. The victim, Long, was taken in an ambulance to University Hospital in Columbia where he was treated for the gunshot wound and released.

The press release from the police department Saturday afternoon stated there were no suspects.
