Auxvasse man arrested after accident reveals pot, gun

An Auxvasse man was arrested in Fulton following a rollover vehicle accident Saturday morning.

At 6:35 a.m., the Fulton Police Department responded near Westminster and 15th Street for a call of a rollover accident.

A release from the department states that Davon Anthion Bryant, 21, was driving a 2006 Ford Focus north on Westminster Avenue when he struck a parked car. Bryant's vehicle rolled onto its top and came to a rest.

The release states Bryant received only minor injuries.

During the accident investigation, officers allegedly found drug paraphernalia in Bryant's car.

The release states that officers then searched Bryant's person and found a concealed .380 semiautomatic handgun and about 8.5 grams of marijuana.

Bryant was taken into custody for felony unlawful use of a weapon, possession of up to 35 grams of marijuana, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia and careless and imprudent driving causing an accident.

He was transported to the Callaway County Jail on a $6,000 bond.
