County employees volunteered to clean up and plant flowers on the south side of the Callaway County Courthouse on Wednesday morning.

Volunteers included Callaway County Presiding Commissioner Gary Jungermann, Maintenance Supervisor Donnie Horstman, Angie Frasher and Sarah Gladman, both employees of Callaway County Collector Pam Oestreich’s office.

Western District Commissioner Doc Kritzer said the commission was approached by women county employees who volunteered to plant flowers if the county commission would buy the flowers.

The commission quickly accepted that beautification proposal and Wednesday morning’s work party was organized.
