Fulton Rotary seeks nominations for law enforcement award

Nominations for the annual Fulton Rotary Club’s law enforcement officer award are now being accepted.

The awards program honors a local county, city or state law enforcement officer.

Charles W. Anderson, Rotary Club chairman of the award, said the ideal candidate for the award is a law enforcement officer who embodies the Rotary Club’s motto of “Service Above Self.”

Anderson said anyone can nominate a local law enforcement officer for the award by submitting the officer’s name, the law enforcement agency were the officer works, the name of the person making the nomination, the address and telephone number of the person making the nomination, and a statement outlining the reasons for the nomination of the officer for the award. Anderson is the director of the Callaway County Ambulance District and he also is an officer with the Auxvasse Police Department.

Nominations for the 2013 G.W. Law — Law Enforcement Officer of the Year Award can be sent by mail to Fulton Rotary Club, C/O Charles W. Anderson, P.O. Box 246, Fulton, MO 65251. Nominations also can be emailed to canderson@callawayambulance.org or faxed to (573) 642-4069.
