KINGDOM CITY — North Callaway junior guard Jaida Gray broke out for a career-high 26 points and the No. 2 seed Ladybirds advanced to the Class 3, District 6 championship with a 59-40 semifinal win over No. 3 O’Fallon Christian on Wednesday night.
The victory was the third in a row for North Callaway (17-9), which will face top-seeded and state-ranked Hermann (22-4) for the District 6 title at 7 p.m. Friday. Hermann — ranked third in the state — advanced by slamming No. 4 seed South Callaway 64-26 in Wednesday night’s other semifinal.
