KIRKSVILLE — Fulton outscored Kirksville 10-6 in overtime Tuesday night and the Hornets halted a six-game losing streak with a 57-53 North Central Missouri Conference victory over the Tigers.
Fulton trailed 32-28 going into the fourth quarter, but outscored Kirksville 19-15 over the final 8 minutes of regulation to pull even. The Tigers actually forced overtime, tying the game at 47-all after hitting the first of two free throws with 1.8 seconds left.
Sophomore forward Sam Christensen supplied a double-double with 16 points and 16 rebounds to direct the Hornets (6-15, 2-8 NCMC), who avenged a 60-42 loss to Kirksville on Dec. 14 in Fulton.
