Auxvasse With two outs and the the potential tying run at second base in the top of the seventh inning, was North Callaway junior pitcher Danielle Cassidy nervous?
Not at all, in fact
“I got mad,” Cassidy said with a laugh. “It’s a game, you don’t know how it’s going to go, so you just have to work harder.”
The anger turned to glee just seconds later, though. Cassidy induced South Callaway junior catcher Anna Bartley into a game-ending groundout to short, helping the Ladybirds hold off the Lady Bulldogs 4-3 on Thursday night.
