Thursday’s practice for the Fulton Hornets was heavier on players in street clothes than head coach Pat Kelley might like. The three injured Hornets loom larger when considering tonight’s opponent — the undefeated state-ranked Hannibal Pirates.
“If we’re 100-percent healthy, it’s still a tough task with Hannibal coming in,” Kelley said.
Fulton and Hannibal — tied for No. 6 in Class 4 — square off in their North Central Missouri Conference contest at 7 tonight at Robert E. Fisher Jr. Stadium.
The Hornets (0-5, 0-2 NCMC) will be without junior running back-linebacker Kegan Lee (sprained left knee), sophomore defensive back Noah Braun (concussion) and junior linebacker Cole Kettle (broken wrist).
