Callaway, Pirates end Hornets' season

There was no secret, no subtext, no bones about what the Fulton Hornets would see from the Boonville Pirates and who they'd see it from in their Class 3, District 6 opener.

Kelsey Callaway running. A lot.

"They didn't do anything we didn't expect," Hornets head coach Pat Kelley said Friday. "They just lined up and ran right at us, and (Callaway) ran like a man on a mission.

"He ran around us, through us and we didn't have an answer for him."

Callaway, a senior running back, erupted for 324 yards and tied a school record with six touchdowns as No. 3 seed Boonville cruised past No. 6 Fulton 48-28.
