BOONVILLE — There were some welcome firsts for the Fulton Hornets on Friday night against the Boonville Pirates.
Offensively, the Hornets scored an opening-drive touchdown for the first time this season and produced a season-high in points.
Still, breaking through there didn’t help Fulton, ultimately, break into the win column. The Hornets’ old nemesis — the second-half rut — re-appeared and stopped the party, keeping Fulton winless in a 47-21 North Central Missouri Conference loss to Boonville.
