Ladybirds scuffle but still reach district semifinals

WRIGHT CITY — The North Callaway Ladybirds weathered a close call in reaching the semifinals of the Class 3, District 7 Tournament.

Junior catcher Kelsey Coil responded with a two-run single to highlight a four-run fifth inning and No. 3 seed North Callaway went on to a 5-3 quarterfinal victory over No. 6 Wright City on Wednesday night.
