LA PLATA — The South Callaway Bulldogs baseball team ensured its first trip to the final four in school history in a familiar setting for head coach Jared Wood.
With South Callaway only up 5-2 in Wednesday night’s Class 2 quarterfinal against Schuyler County, junior right fielder Bradley Smart belted a three-run home run to ignite a six-run outburst in the sixth inning to put the Bulldogs in a more comfortable setting. South Callaway then heaped on eight more runs in the seventh to punctuate its 19-2 demolition of the Rams.
