The 2012 Fulton Street Fair is a month away, and committee members are working to drum up interest in the annual festival with button sales. The street fair runs June 15-16 in downtown Fulton.

Starting today, buttons can be purchased at Central Bank, The Callaway Bank, the Kingdom of Callaway Chamber of Commerce and C&R Market. The $2 collector’s buttons offer wearers free ice cream, price discounts at select fair events such as the Kiddie Corral and eligibility for prize drawings in the week leading up to and throughout the fair.

Button sales kicked off at the Chamber After Hours Tuesday night with drawings for a $25 gift card, a purse and coupons to local businesses, and committee member Ronda Miller said the list of prizes for this year’s daily prize drawings features much of the same.

Prizes include bowling passes to the Fulton Bowling Center, a one-hour session with $100 print credit from Blue Photos, a summer swim pass for Oestriech Swimming Pool, a one-month pass and jump-start training package at the YMCA of Callaway County, a lawn furniture set, a gas grill, movie tickets for Fulton Cinema 8, a living room set from Sutherlands and $1,000 from Central Bank as well as gift certificates and packages from various other local businesses. There is a full list of prizes available at the street fair website: www.fultonstreetfair.com.
