Local man arrested on assault charges

A Fulton man was arrested on sexual assault charges Friday after a report was filed earlier in the week.

The Fulton Police Department received a report of a sexual assault involving a minor as the victim on Feb. 26.

Aaron M. Dannenmueller, 21, on two counts of second-degree statutory rape and one charge of second-degree statutory sodomy.

Lt. Andre Cook, head of detectives for the Fulton police, would not give any further details regarding the victim — including the victim’s age. Cook did say that Dannenmueller “was known to the victim.”

He said the investigation is ongoing.
