The Fulton Police Department made two arrests for drunk driving late Thursday night.
At 10:38 p.m., a Fulton officer attempted to stop a vehicle for numerous traffic violations.
According to an FPD press release, the vehicle did not stop and a pursuit was started, with officers finally stopping the vehicle on Highway 54 north of Fulton.
As Michael S. Fennewald, 40, of Mexico was arrested, officers found a juvenile inside the vehicle. The juvenile was placed in protective custody until he could be picked up by a family member.
Fennewald was charged with Driving While Intoxicated (DWI) prior offender, endangering the welfare of a child, careless and imprudent driving, failing to yield to an emergency vehicle, speeding and lane violation, and was taken to the Callaway County Jail on $18,053 bond. He was released early Friday morning.
A search of Missouri CaseNet shows that Fennewald was arrested in April for operating a motor vehicle in a careless and imprudent manner, involving an accident.
Also arrested late Thursday was Allen E. Faught, 45, of Macon.
According to an FPD press release, Fulton police officers were at the Fast Lane convenience store on Amerihost Drive at approximately 11:16 p.m. when they observed Faught drive his vehicle into the parking lot.
"A short time later, a second vehicle pulled into the parking lot and the driver began to argue with Faught," the release states. "When officers intervened, they were able to determine Faught was intoxicated."
