Fulton Police pull puppy from hot car

With the temperature at 101 degrees, Fulton Police removed a pit bull puppy left in a parked vehicle on Wednesday afternoon.

Fulton Police Lt. Lyla Robbins said at 2:33 p.m. Wednesday police were notified of an animal left in a car on the Walmart parking lot in Fulton.

Robbins said a puppy that appeared to be a pit bull was found inside a car on the parking lot.

Robbins said the owner of the dog will be cited for animal abuse.

A Walmart shopper provided water for the puppy that was taken to an air conditioned police patrol car. The animal then was taken to the animal shelter for monitoring. “It appears the puppy will recover,” Robbins said.

This not so smart person needs to be fined to the max!!! To bad you can't give a ticket for being stupid. This type of person would do the same thing to a child. Thank you FPD.
