Three people had minor injuries in two separate chain-reaction crashes involving seven vehicles on the Missouri River Bridge early Wednesday morning.
The two collisions occurring at about the same time backed up early morning commuter traffic for several miles north of Jefferson City in Callaway County.
Both crashes were reported to the Jefferson City Police Communications Center at 7:42 a.m. The two pileups blocked traffic on the westbound bridge lanes of U.S. 54 at the peak morning rush-hour.
