Mokane Extra basketball was needed, but the Bulldogs were able to bat away the visiting Iberia Rangers. South Callaway outscored Iberia 13-7 in overtime, pulling out a 56-50 win over the Rangers on Friday evening.
The Bulldogs (7-3) were down 12-0 in the first quarter, but battled back to within five points — 14-9 — at the end of the quarter. The Rangers tacked on another productive quarter, taking a 27-18 lead into intermission.
