(Correction: Due to a technical glitch with the live statistics on host Webster University's website, it was incorrectly reported in Sunday's edition that the Westminster men's basketball team lost to MacMurray (Ill.) College 56-55 in Saturday's championship game of the SLIAC postseason tournament in St. Louis. Westminster won the SLIAC title 58-56 when sophomore guard Joe James hit a 3-pointer as time expired, qualifying the Blue Jays for the NCAA Division III national tournament. The Fulton Sun apologizes for the error.)
ST. LOUIS — The Westminster College Blue Jays slipped into an offensive sinkhole and never really emerged.
Clint Lee lofted in the game-winner on a 3-pointer with 1:29 to play and MacMurray (Ill.) College held on for a 56-55 victory over Westminster in Saturday’s championship of the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference men’s postseason tournament.
