Presidential preference primary today

Callaway Countians go to the polls today to indicate their preference of candidates for president of the United States.

Callaway County Clerk Denise Hubbard is predicting a lower voter turnout than the last Missouri presidential primary election in 2008.

Missouri's presidential primary has not attracted much interest from candidates because it is merely a preference primary.

President Barack Obama has only token Democratic opposition and Missouri Republicans will decide their national convention delegates through a caucus rather than a primary.
