Two people injured in one-car accidents

Two people were injured in separate one-vehicle accidents in Callaway County.

Jonathan E. Cook, 31, had moderate injuries in a one-vehicle accident Wednesday night east of Holts Summit in Callaway County.

The Missouri State HIghway Patrol reported Cook was northbound on Route AA at 9:45 p.m. when his 2003 Buick LeSabre ran off the right side of the roadway and struck a culvert about 645 feet south of County Road 4027.

Cook was taken to St. Mary's Medical Center in Jefferson City.

The patrol reported Cook was not wearing a seat belt when the accident occurred.

Another one-vehicle accident occurred in Callaway Couinty east of Holts Summit when vehicle ran off of County Road 4021, about 1.1 miles south of Route AA.

The patrol reported a 2006 Mitsubishi Lancer driven by Raschel R. Hoeflicker, 23, Holts Summit, was southbound on County Road 4021 at 8:30 a.m. Saturday when the vehicle ran off the right side of the roadway, overcorrected, skidded off the left side of the road, struck several trees and overturned.

With moderate injuries, Hoeflicker was transported by ambulance to St. Mary's Medical Center in Jefferson City.

Hoeflicker was not wearing a seat belt when the accident occurred and the vehicle she was driving was demolished, the patrol reported.
