Lady Hornets volleyball team prevails in NCMC opener

The Fulton Lady Hornets volleyball team was pushed in the second game, but still came away with the victory in its North Central Missouri Conference opener against Marshall on Thursday night.

Fulton (2-0) prevailed by scores of 25-13 and 28-26.

Senior setter Melissa Hoerber tallied 18 assists and senior outside hitter Rachelle Miller came through with 12 kills to pace the Lady Hornets. Miller also accumulated 10 digs, as did senior libero Allie Pierce.

"What worked for us is that we were attacking and serving aggressively," Fulton head coach Megan Youse said.
