NEW BLOOMFIELD-Enrollment at the New Bloomfield R-3 School District is expected to remain steady or drop slightly, an administration study reveals.
Superintendent David Tramel Thursday night told the R-3 Board of Education he compared past school district enrollment to live birth records in Callaway County. The analysis showed about 10 percent of all Callaway County newborns enroll as students in the New Bloomfield School District.
Tramel said current enrollment shows the district has only five fewer students than last year.
Tramel said he used a formula that provides a fairly accurate projection of future enrollment during the next five years, assuming no major outside influences such as a major new industry moving to the district.
