T-Birds try to rectify offensive troubles, obtain first victory

KINGDOM CITY - The North Callaway Thunderbirds' pale offense isn't seeing red, and that's a problem.

Managing to score just seven points combined in the past two games, North Callaway will set its sights on acquiring its first win of the season tonight when the Thunderbirds travel to Hallsville for a Mid-Missouri Conference matchup. Kickoff is at 7.

North Callaway (0-3, 0-1 MMC) has found it difficult to penetrate the opponent's red zone in recent weeks, much less produce points when reaching that destination.

The Thunderbirds had the ball six times inside South Callaway territory, but none inside the 20-yard line, while being blanked last week by the state-ranked Bulldogs 28-0 in the annual Callaway Cup showdown at Kingdom City.
