The New Bloomfield R-3 School District administration has decided to cut 10 jobs, including seven certified teachers, for the school year beginning July 1.
Interim Superintendent Roy Kramme said the district will save $488,516 by making the staff reductions in its $5.7 million annual budget.
Kramme said the reductions include:
• One high school band teacher. The elementary band teacher will move up to the position. She will handle both high school and elementary band positions. The current high school band teacher's position will not be replaced.
• One special education teacher has been promoted to special education coordinator. Her teaching position is not being refilled.
