With the onset of heavy snow Monday came numerous car accidents.

The Callaway County Sheriff's Department reported it was extremely busy responding to calls coming in from all over the county, many of them non-injury slid-offs. It did not have an official count of accidents to release as of Monday evening.

The Fulton Police Department reported 10 accidents inside city limits by 6 p.m. Monday. All were non-injury. The first was reported at 10:36 a.m. but officials said it was not due to the weather. From 12:51 p.m. on, FPD said it responded to nine accidents inside the city, all of them due to the inclement weather.
