The William Woods University Owls shot a lackluster 30 percent Tuesday night in tumbling to 0-6 after a 64-42 loss to Central Methodist University at Anderson Arena.
William Woods — which was just 17-of-56 from the field and committed 14 turnovers — bowed to Central Methodist for the second time in less than two weeks. The Owls lost to the Eagles 85-71 on Nov. 3 at Fayette.
Sophomore guard Kelsey Bardell, who made 3-of-5 attempts from 3-point range, scored 11 points Tuesday night as the only player to reach double figures for William Woods. Sophomore guard Logan Decker was next with nine points.
Junior forward Caleb Parry pulled down a team-high five rebounds for the Owls, who were outrebounded by a 36-31 margin.
Tyler Bredehoeft connected for a game-high 19 points to guide three players in double figures for Central Methodist (4-2), which shot 50 percent (26-of-52) as a team and finished with 13 turnovers. Lucas Dahl also supplied 11 points and Clint Hamilton had 10.
William Woods faces host Culver-Stockton at 7:30 p.m. Friday in the Culver-Stockton College Classic. The Owls continue tournament play against Rogers State University at 1 p.m. Saturday.

plan Winter Tip Off on Friday night
KINGDOM CITY — The Ladybirds and Thunderbirds will preview their respective 2010-11 basketball seasons during the North Callaway High School Winter Tip Off on Friday night.
North Callaway’s varsity girls will scrimmage first from 6-7, followed by the introduction of all high school players and cheerleaders at 7. The varsity boys will then scrimmage from 7:15-8:15.
Admission is a non-perishable food item that will be donated to Serve food pantry in Fulton.

HARRISBURG — In a battle of Bulldogs, South Callaway Middle School broke a 21-21 halftime tie by outscoring Harrisburg 30-12 in the second half of Monday night’s first-round game at the Harrisburg Tournament.
Troy Hentges produced a team-high 17 points to direct SCMS (5-1), while Trevor Miller added 13.
SCMS squares off against Blair Oaks in tonight’s semifinals.

HARRISBURG — The Ladybirds bowed to the Lady Eagles on Monday night in the first round of the Harrisburg Tournament.
Danielle Cassidy tallied 12 points to pace North Callaway and Brittany Vaughn contributed seven.
The Ladybirds play South Callaway in the consolation semifinals at 5 p.m. today.
