Police arrest Fulton man on cocaine charges April 23, 2014

FPD arrest man for stolen vehicle

A Fulton man was arrested early Wednesday morning after police believe he stole a vehicle from the owner’s residence.

Sgt. Thomas Baker, of the Fulton Police Department, said Christopher W. Roe, 21, of Fulton, was arrested by Callaway County Deputies who found Roe fleeing from the stolen vehicle.

“He actually put the stolen vehicle in a ditch and called for a tow service,” Barker said. “When county deputies arrived he was fleeing the area and was apprehended.”

Barker said the Fulton Police responded to the owner of the missing car at 2:43 a.m. and Roe was arrested a short time later.

Roe was charged with first-degree tampering.

Barker said other vehicles in the area had been tampered with as well. They are continuing the investigation into the other vehicles, according to Barker.

Barker also said the police department knows of Roe. Case Net, on the Missouri Court System, shows Roe has several criminal infractions ranging from minor visibly intoxicated to drug possession.
