Dressed in blue jeans, a black western shirt and black felt cowboy hat, Omer Brisendine held his black cowboy boots in the stirrup as he strolled around the indoor arena atop Carnegie, a tall, white, well-trained, gentle horse Wednesday. The contrast of the cowboy in black atop the all-white horse made for a striking image as the 96 year-old Brisendine got to live out a long-time dream at Healing Horses Therapeutic Riding Center in Linn.
