Donna Trisler

TRISLER Donna Lee Trisler, 81, of New Bloomfield, Mo., formerly of Auxvasse, Mo., passed away on Thursday, May 25, 2023 at her home in New Bloomfield, Mo. Donna was born on January 16, 1942 in Elkville, Ill., the daughter of Albert and Irene “Mary” (Barnes) Cashion, who preceded her in death. On November 22, 1972, she was united in marriage in Elkville, Ill. to James Trisler, who preceded her in death in 2010. Together they owned and operated D & J House of Tools and Welding Service in Auxvasse, Mo. for over 40 years. Donna was of the Christian faith and loved Jesus. She also enjoyed gardening, photography, painting and teaching painting classes. Her pride and joy was her family and she loved to have family gatherings and game nights with them. Survivors include: two daughters, Annette Trisler of New Bloomfield, Mo. and Janette Helton (Brad) of Kirksville, Mo.; five sons, James Trisler of Mexico, Mo., Jeffrey Trisler (Shelly) of Williamsburg, Mo., Monte Trisler (Mary Gardner) of New Bloomfield, Mo., Eric Trisler (Tina) of Jerseyville, Ill. and Wade Trisler (Robin) of Fulton, Mo.; two brothers, Gerald “Jerry” Cashion (Connie) of Holts Summit, Mo. and David Cashion of Fulton, Mo.; 16 grandchildren and numerous great- grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her son, John Trisler; two grandsons, Aaron Meeks and Jacob Helton; one brother, Randall Cashion; and infant sister, Alberta Cashion. Memorial service will be held on Friday, June 9, 2023 at 6:00 p.m. at Debo Funeral Home in Fulton, Mo. with Chaplain Russ Pflasterer officiating.
