Deborah Kay Crowson, 68, of Fulton, passed away on Tuesday, November 21, 2023, at home.
On January 10, 1955, Deborah was born to the late Robert W. (Wayne) Crowson and the late Sarah (Davis) Crowson.
Debbie graduated from Fulton High School in 1973 and continued her education at School of the Ozarks, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1977.
She was a career school teacher and began her teaching with Pacific, Mo. school district. Later, she returned to Fulton and taught for South Callaway R-II schools until her retirement in May 2011. She also enjoyed working at the former Downtown B&B Theater with her little brother in the 1980’s.
She loved to travel and did so with tour groups and on school trips during her teaching career, traveling Europe and Canada. She especially enjoyed traveling to Ireland with her sister Robbie in 2013. During her retirement years, Debbie adopted and cared for her furry kids Gibbs (RIP) and Abby. She also enjoyed knitting, movies, a good book, and all things “true crime”.
Debbie is survived by her brother, Jeff Crowson (Carla); niece, Chelsea Smith-Beltz (Tex); the cat, Abby, and many long-time friends.
Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, December 16, 2023 at 12:00 p.m. at Maupin Funeral Home with Pastor Bruce Williamson officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. Inurnment will be held at Callaway Memorial Gardens.
