Robert Gary Bowles

Robert Gary Bowles, 63, of Fulton, passed away sadly on Saturday, March 19, 2022, after a six-month battle with cancer. Robert was the son of Gary Bowles and Frances (Cooper) Bowles of St. Louis. They preceded him in death. Robert married Deborah (Trammell-Johnson) in 2005. They lived in Fulton with their cat, Dot, for 15 years. They previously lived in St. Charles. Robert enjoyed listening to country music and playing pool but mostly enjoyed spending time at home with Deborah and Dot. In earlier years, he worked in the construction industry and enjoyed hunting with his dad and cooking with his mother and grandmother. He is survived by his wife, Deborah of the home; sister, Phyllis Baugh of Wright City; 27-year-old twin sons, Gary Lee Bowles and Kristopher Robert Bowles of Park Hills; step-son, Tom Johnson of St. Charles; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews. In additional to his parents, Robert was preceded in death by brother, Tom Bowles, and sister-in-law, Donna Trammell in 2010, just two days apart. Robert left us much too soon and will be greatly missed. He will be cremated and buried in Richland Baptist Cemetery next to his father-in-law, Melvin Trammell Jr. and his mother-in-law, Pat Trammell, who loved Robert like a son.
