Paula Sue Payne

Paula Sue Payne, 64, of Fulton, Mo., passed away on Friday, March 11, 2022, at Boone Hospital Center in Columbia, Mo. Paula was born on July 21, 1957, in Pontiac, Mich., the daughter of Billie and Delores (Travis) Payne who preceded her in death. She was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. In 2018, she retired from Fulton Reception and Diagnostic Center as a Correctional Officer, she then worked part time at Tractor Supply, which resulted in two very special friendships. Paula enjoyed watching Cardinal baseball, Kansas City Chiefs football, spending time with family and friends, singing and relaxing by the river. She was passionate about all animals, but especially her four legged companions, Bobbi Rose, Zane Gray and her cats. Paula was known for her huge heart, her spunky personality, but also her endless love and compassion. Survivors include one sister, Deborah Payne of Fulton, Mo.; one niece, Stephanie Hays of Fulton, Mo.; one great-niece, Ivy Hays and two great-nephews, Darren Hays and Wyatt Moreland; several special cousins and many dear friends. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Terry Payne and Darren Payne; one sister, Cheri Payne and her beloved Bobbi Rose. Private family services will be held at a later date.
