Deborah Jean Hook

Deborah Jean "Debbie" Hook, 67, of Fulton, passed away on Sunday, March 13, 2022, at St. Louis University Hospital. She was born to Paul Dietemann and the late Alice Juengal in St. Louis on June 25, 1954. On June 25, 2004, Debbie married Russell "Rusty" Hook who survives her passing. Debbie worked in Housekeeping at Fulton State Hospital. She enjoyed cooking and was considered the best baker in the family, her specialty being chocolate cake. Her hobbies included playing cards, collecting Tweety Bird memorabilia, and going to the races when it wasn't too hot. Her favorite memories were created with her family, especially her grandchildren, and her dog, Shadee Lady Hook. Debbie was a member of New Hope Baptist Church. Debbie will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Rusty; father; Paul Dietemann; special mother-in-law, Mary Hook; sons, Buddy Taylor, and Robert Giboney; stepchildren, Chad Dews (Melissa), Amanda Lee (Ricky), Chasity Hook, Russell Hook Jr., and Dustin Hook; brother, Paul Dietemann Jr.; step-grandchildren, Renee Dews (Donald), Brandon Dews (Rebecca), Eston Dews, Even Dews, Jacob Lee, Sheridon Lee, Devin Hook, Breeze Hook, Emily Hook, Autumn Hook, Justine Hook, Skylar Foster, Sophia Daily, and Dustin Hook Jr.; and step- greatgrandchildren, Melodie Werdehausen, Jason Werdehausen, and Jasmine Dews. She was preceded in death by her mother and step-father, Alice and Ollie Juengal; sister, Diana Lynn; and father-in-law, Bob Hook. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 19, 2022, at Maupin Funeral Home in Fulton with Pastors Bruce Williamson and Mike Crowson officiating. Friends will be received from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. Interment will be in Riverview Cemetery in Portland.
