Judy Adams

Judy Adams, 61, of Fulton, passed away at Capital Region Medical Center on Saturday, March 5, 2022. She was born in Fulton on September 28, 1960, to the late Charlie Wesley Lord and the late Virginia Pearl (Meyers) Lord. On September 1, 2009, Judy married Paul Adams who survives. They were a perfect match and enjoyed their years together. Judy worked as an Aide at Fulton State Hospital. She was happiest when she was outside, and loved to garden, fish for crappie, and hunt for mushrooms. She and Paul worked together to can the vegetables they grew. Judy was an excellent cook and had a knack for making fried chicken. Not one to be idle, she rose early, stayed up late, and cleaned her home every day. Blessed with a beautiful voice, she could often be heard singing classic country music. She will be remembered for being a wonderful, wife, sister, grandmother, and aunt. She is survived by her husband, Paul; step-sons, Dennis Adams (Karen) of Fulton, and Wesley Adams (SueAnn) of Columbia; step-daughter, Holly Adams of Williamsburg; brothers, Roger and Pete Lord of Fulton; sisters, Janet Steinhardt (Frank) of Camdenton, Connie Lloyd of Fulton, and Barbara Jean "Bumpy" Ward (George) of Portland; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Judy was preceded in death by brothers, Gary, Charlie Wayne, and Danny Lord. A memorial service will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, March 18, 2022, at Maupin Funeral Home with Pastor Mike Crowson officiating.
