Alvin L. "Tinky" Neal, 70, of Fulton, passed away on Sunday, March 6, 2022, at Boone Hospital, surrounded by family, He was born in Fulton to the late Ed Neal and the late Dorothy (Raps) Neal on March 29, 1951. On July 10, 1976, he was united in marriage to Sandy (Salmons) Neal, who survives his passing. Tinky spent 48 years employed at Central Electric, now known as AZZ. He was an avid sports fanatic who enjoyed watching the St. Louis Cardinals, Mizzou and his Fulton Hornets. He coached various teams for his children throughout the years and loved watching his grandchildren as well. Tinky was a member of Central Christian Church. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Sandy; his four children, Jody Neal (Nancy) of Fulton, Ryan Neal (Tia) of Fulton, Mandy Tate (Michael) of Fulton, and Jared Neal (Hannah) of Fulton; grandchildren, Kayla Neal, Ella Neal, Chase Tate, Justin Neal (Rebekah), Darrin Neal, and Turner Neal; and two brothers, Danny Neal and Bruce Neal. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Debbie Neal; brother, Doug Neal; in-laws, Albert and Bernice Salmons; and nephew, Paul Ray Neal. Funeral services will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 10, 2022, at Maupin Funeral Home with Reverends Bill Nigus and Nathan Martin officiating. Friends will be received from 5:00 p.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. Inurnment will be held at Central Christian Cemetery at a later date.
