Danny Woolsey

Danny Lee Woolsey, 72, of Columbia, Mo., passed away on Saturday, January 1, 2022, at The Truman VA Hospital, He was born in Fulton on July 8, 1949, to the late Floyd Woolsey and Wanda (Fulton) Woolsey. Immediately after graduation from Fulton High School, Dan joined the United States Army. He served overseas in Vietnam and Germany and several posts in the US. He also served in the US Navy National Guard. He always had a smile for everyone he met and loved talking to people. He was a born salesman and enjoyed working in retail sales. He sold insurance, jewelry and cars. Jewelry sales is where Danny excelled. He was a stellar jewelry salesman, who won numerous accolades and prizes and was constantly being recruited by other companies nationwide. After retirement he moved to Columbia where he loved spending time with his daughter and nephews and their families, reading, watching movies and playing golf. He will be sadly missed by his daughter, Danielle Woolsey of Grain Valley; ex-wife, Sherry Ciolek (Woolsey) of Blue Springs, Mo.; brother, Rick Woolsey of Jefferson City; nephews, Coby Woolsey (Brea) from Holts Summit and Cale Woolsey (Shell) from New Bloomfield; great-nieces, Shelby and Leah; great-nephew, Kale; cousin, Charlie Schaeffer of Columbia; as well as many other family and friends he made over the years. Friends are invited to remember Dan at his Celebration of Life which will be held this Saturday, January 8, 2022, from 2-4 p.m. in Fulton, Mo. at GoPo, 525 Court St, 2nd floor. In remembrance of Dan's life, the family suggests donations be made to The Wounded Warriors Foundation. Cremation services provided by Heartland Cremation, Columbia, Mo.
